Elvgren was, for years, America's preeminent pin up artist. But his barely disguised psychosexual imagery and prodigious technical skill have made him a cult figure for contemporary artists. The paintings on view, from the late 40's and early 50's, come from the Marvin Oleshansky collection, which was put together more than 40 years ago and has never been publicly exhibited.
