NED SNIDER

November 11 - December 17, 2021

View Exhibition

This recent incarnation of work has veered from the artist’s previous focus on concrete conceptualism, to a newfound faith in the capacity of form to creative narrative. The work can be found transposing modernist explorations of form into metaphorical ruminations on causality, transference, and the relationships(conflicts) between the natural and technocentric worlds.

Edwin(Ned) H. Snider, b. 1975, Princeton, New Jersey, attended the University of Denver, before graduating with a BFA from the Maryland Institute, College of Art. Subsequent to attending MICA, Ned went on to earn his master’s degree in 2D Design from the Cranbrook Academy of Art(MI). His work has been exhibited at Feature, Inc.(NY), Larrisa Goldston Gallery(NY), East Tennessee State University(TN), Thompson Giroux Gallery(NY), and The Cranbrook Art Museum(MI). His work has been included in Creative Review, ID Magazine and numerous other publications. Ned lives and works in Katonah, New York.

”Ned Snider’s abstractions take cues from text and graphic design and, with a sense of humor, push meaning away from the didactic and into the poetic.” ~ Hudson, Feature Inc.
